She stood still, not rushed, not unsure.
A cigarette balanced on her lip, a list in one hand, and all the time in the world to choose.
The reflection shimmered with gold and glass, but it was her who gave the street its weight.
I didn’t ask. I didn’t wait. I just saw her — and pressed the shutter.
